Next is the coaming. The coaming goes around the radius created by the deck caps. Again, I trim off an 1/8" wide piece of 1/32" thick cherry wood, and soak it in the water/ammonia mixture for several minutes. I gently bend the pre-trimmed piece of wood into place, and leave it there until it is completely dry. Once it is, I take it back out, and slowly glue it in place on both ends, making sure it is straight and even.
